Project Value - £210,000

Project Overview – Complete strip out and refurbishment of the school’s boilerhouse including all associated plant, equipment, and pipework, and renewal with new high efficiency plant and systems.

This project involved the refurbishment of hot water and heating generation plant within a live school environment and replacement with new ‘intelligent’ high efficiency equipment which monitors and modulates energy usage in tandem with internal conditions. This in turn ensures the school remains at exactly the correct temperature whilst minimising energy production.

This project was completed on time, on budget, and with no loss of hot water or heating to the school, and involved the strip out and replacement of:

• Heating Boilers
• Hot Water Cylinder
• Boilerhouse Ventilation
• Boilerhouse LPHW Distribution
• Boilerhouse Domestic Hot and Cold Water Services
• Boilerhouse Gas Installation
• Pressurisation and Expansion Plant
• Boilerhouse Pumps
• Building Management and Automatic Control Installations (BMS)
• Introduction of a Plate Heat Exchanger to separate the new plant from old pipework
• Internal Drainage
• Temporary Boiler Works
